This course provides an introduction to HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. This course helps students gain basic HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript programming skills. This course is an entry point into both the Web application and Windows Store apps training paths. The course focuses on using HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript to implement programming logic, define and use variables, perform looping and branching, develop user interfaces, capture and validate user input, store data, and create well-structured applications.   • Describe the Windows 8 platform and features, and explore the basics of a Windows app interface.
  • Respond to mouse, keyboard and touch events, including gestures.
  • Design and implement Process Lifetime Management (PLM).
  • Implement the AppBar and layout controls.
  • Use data binding to present data in the UI.
  • Handle files and streams.
  • Design and implement contracts such as Search, Share, and Settings.
  • Implement tiles and toast notifications in a Windows Store app.
  • Deploy a Windows Store app to the Windows Store or an enterprise store.
  • Use templates to create the UI.
  • Minimum of two to five years of experience in developing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript applications.
  • One or more years developing applications that conform to the Windows Store app guidelines.
